Hi,

I’m running into issues when trying to assign dates. When I want to create a variable of type “Date” or even set a date field like “Transaction Date” it only shows me a date picker to choose a manual value, when I would like to set it based on other sources (input, other variables, etc.) For some reason I have a “Set” statement initialized correctly which I was duplicating, but for variable initialization I’m out of luck and it’s blocking me.

Example for variable initialization:

Example for “Set” (top is the new one created, without the arrow to set the value, just the date picker, bottom one is the one I’ve been duplicating to make my import work).

Best,

Thanks for the detailed screenshots, that makes it clear what you’re running into. Let me check on this - it does look like Date-type variables and fields might not currently support the same dynamic “arrow” assignment (referencing input columns or other variables) that other property types have in the Set statement, and only expose the manual date picker. I’ll look into that.

In the meantime you can use Scalar type which will be automatically converted whenever Date is actually needed.

I can confirm it will be fixed in the upcoming version.
