# Support for other cost-basis election methods (ACB, LIFO, HICO)

Add support for other cost-basis methods like LIFO, Highest cost, Average Cost Basis and similar.

Should be selectable per tax preset, account and position.

I am always happy to see new functionality, however, this time I save my vote for other priorities 😉 .

## Update (2.30.0)

You can now choose alternative cost basis method in asset / account / position settings - FIFO, LIFO, HICO and LOCO are available.

If a tax preset is chosen for the account, you can also enable Average Cost Basis.

ACB can be configured in the tax preset and can be used automatically for selected asset types.

There’s a new Australian tax preset and more will be available shortly, along with updates to all existing ones.

## Update (2.30.1)

New [Swedish tax preset with Tradin212](https://community.mycapitally.com/t/sweden-tax-setup-with-tradin212/724) (cc @PerOrn)

Updated UK & US tax presets.

Swedish and UK presets are first ones that use Average Cost Basis and more of them is coming! 🎅
