Add original amounts in original currency to all tax reports

Hi,

In taxes due report page I can only see values already converted to PLN. The same applies to exported excel spreadsheet. I really need it (and because of that I am collecting them by hand right now) and I think it would be useful for other users as well as tax office to see the original amounts (dividend paid, tax withheld, etc.) so that we can compare them to original reports/documents exported from a broker and also easily confirm calculations (FX rates x original amounts are equal to converted values).
So in total, it should include all columns:
…
revenue amount in original currency (when applicable, it should be original value imported from broker report, not calculated)
expense amount in original currency (when applicable, it should be original value imported from broker report, not calculated)
tax withheld in original currency (original value imported from broker report, not calculated)
…
fx rate used for converting to tax currency
fx rate date
…
revenue amount in tax currency (e.g. PLN)
expense amount in tax currency
income amount in tax currency
tax withheld in tax currency

This might be a bit tricky, but I’ll think about it.

Right now, the tax system operates on tax events, which may, or may not be related to transactions - eg. Capital tax (one that you pay once a year on your wealth) has no transactions.

Tax preset may also modify the value that will be used for the revenue/expense/tax and so on. Also, each transaction may have it’s own set of values, and so on.

So theoretically, there could be the “Opening Transaction” and “Taxed Transaction” columns. These, could then expand to qty, value, price, fee, tax paid - available only if this type of transaction has it. Each in original currency and probably tax currency as well (+ currency).
Maybe it should even include transaction notes or tags - as they also may convey some helpful information.

It will look strangely in the UI though, as only the lowest level of the tree would carry any values - all the groups would be empty, as these values cannot be aggregated (at least in original currency), but maybe it’s mostly a non-issue

Yes, I agree having all the applicable information you listed for a specific transaction would be very useful and it’s not an issue if they cannot be aggregated together due to for example different currency exchange rates.

It’s released in 2.4.1
