I came across a problem with the benchmark comparison in MyCapitally.
I exported my projet and imported it again in another projet. Everything is the same but the performance vs the benchmark (the S&P 500) is alot different when selecting “max”.
The % total returns on the 1y is also different but less so than the max.
The difference seems to be only in the rate of return on the portfolio. Could you please check if both projects use the same returns calculations (eg both use MWR) in settings?
Do you see the same difference if you open portfolio?
Yes, that was it. When importing a new projet it set to default MWR. My other project was ROI (didn’t know I changed that).
Side question: I did a lot of deposit transaction into the project over the years. I suppose the MWR is a better comparison vs a benchmark?
It’s strange it didn’t transfer to the second project 
As for the second question, it really depends on what you want to compare. I personally use MWR as I want to take my timing into account. You can read more in the article I wrote for our blog.
