Possibility to define custom KPI metrics in summary view

Right now we have some predefined metrics on the summary page - like total assets value, total return, etc.

It would be great to have your own ones added there to track your personal goals. Few examples:

  • amount of money transferred to IKE/IKZE accounts
  • Investment portfolio composition (let’s say I’m targeting 80/20 and would like to see simple summary of portfolio composition as single tile)
  • total income from rental

Basically the idea would be to have name and some formula defined - for example, create a tile with 2 fields:

Transfers to IKZE account:

sum of value for buy transactions with tag=pension/IKE and date >= beginning of the current year

And limit which will be constant number set by the user at the beginning of the year (matching polish regulations ).

Above are just some examples, but it could be very versatile - like to have separate total assets tracker created for each of the family member.

Tracking goals is on the roadmap and I think it would cover these cases. But happy to discuss

Hi Rafał! Yes, I think it will cover most of the cases! I will vote on the suggested feature then!

Additional note - it would be nice if we can add more cards than just two to summary page.
Even with current functionality, when I can just select from saved filters, it will help track some metrics already.

Maybe that’s a quick win we can get earlier?

Dashboard is hardcoded at the moment, but I’ll see how flexible it might be.

I know it’s no the same, but Bookmarks are a great way to be able to quickly go through various metrics and views in the portfolio.

Sounds as a great workaround for my purpose. I will give it a try (just started using Capitally and learning the stuff).

I will look forward to seeing any updates on tracking goals and configurable dashboard, but with your suggestion I should be able to nicely go forward with my setup.
