Just signed up and trying to import from Hargreaves Landsdown but With HL you can only export one year at a time and I have 8 years worth of data including lots of regular monthly investing. Also, lots of the holdings I have subsequently sold all of or transferred into a SIPP.
Just wondering what the best way to manage this is. Do I try and import 8+ spreadsheets into Capitally? And what about all the spare (unnecessary) data?
Hey William, I’d recommend importing 8 spreadsheets in sequence - from the oldest one. Once it’s all in, you can delete all positions and assets you don’t want to keep track of.
For privacy and accuracy reasons, we don’t automatically link with broker accounts. So you will need to import new transactions whenever you make them. As the system detects duplicates, you don’t need to remember when you did the last import.
Current market prices, dividends and splits are updated automatically.
