Transfer of shares between DMs

Hello,

I transferred CRI shares between XTB and BOSSA. I have a question about how best to do this in CAPITALLY. In this situation there will be no report from either BOSSA or XTB to import, since this is neither a sale of shares nor a purchase, so it has to be done manually. Can I do it as follows: A) export the asset information with full history from one portfolio (XTB) in e.g. CSV/Excel format (I found such an option) B) import the data into the BOSSA portfolio (I don’t know what the file format should be and whether this will work). C) after importing the data into the BOSSA portfolio, I delete the data (the asset) from the XTB portfolio.

Best regards,

Jarek

I found something called zmień konto (change account) for a given asset. In this way I moved/transferred the securities between the two brokers (in my case from XTB to BOSSA). Issue resolved.

When you change the account, you move the entire history of the asset to a new place – which may or may not be what you wanted (e.g. in a tax context).

You can also add a Convert / Move transaction, in which you move all units from XTB to Bossa – then this will be more historically accurate – although from a tax perspective it creates a situation where all units have an averaged purchase cost.

By the way, it’s worth making sure whether XTB/Bossa will include this in their exports so that no duplicates appear, since quite a few brokers do take this into account.

Best regards
