Expired Options

Hi,

I am about to create my portfolio, focusing first on 2025 transactions to support with tax reporting. I have quite a number of stock option trades, that Capitally does not find via ISIN (probably because options expired, ISIN cease to "exist”? ) - How to go around this and ensure those trades are picked up by the tax reporting?
I do have the closing/expiration transactions for those transactions …
broker: Swissquote

We don’t support options by their direct ISIN, but we do support options by working with their underlying assets. This is perfectly good for tax purposes, and accurate enough for general portfolio evaluation (we use Black-Scholes-Merton model for value).

As options are complex, I’d advise to send us a sample file so we can create a preset (which you already did, just writing it for future generations ;))

Thanks Rafal - understand and from a portfolio monitoring/reporting, that is indeed great, that one can add the options “under” the underlying asset, as this gives a nice view when running income strategies. My point around adding it via ISIN is more for heavy options trading, which can run into dozens of transactions which then become cumbersome to add manually… thanks for looking into it. :folded_hands:

We simply don’t have market data for options, but Capitally is all about automating such input. SwissQuote support for Options is rolling out now. If you have another broker with options - just send a sample and we’ll add it. Nobody wants or expects to add them manually

Thanks Rafal for the quick adjustment - just tested with two options and it worked perfectly. :folded_hands: Will bring in more (historic) transaction in the coming days and let you know if there is any questions coming up.
