Incorrect ETF identified in import?

While importing my ETFs I noticed some strange data:

Check out how “iShares S&P 500 Information Technology Sector UCITS ETF” was identified as “Amundi S&P 500”, completely breaking prices. ETF was bought for 134 zł but Capitally claims its market value is… 468 zł.

Hey Tomasz. Some brokers (Bossa as well) don’t provide a concrete symbol and we need to find an asset by the provided title. As we have thousands of ETFs named veery similarly, our relevance search may sometimes get it wrong, especially as brokers often use slightly (or not so) different names than we have.

That’s why when importing, it’s important to review the symbols being imported and correct them there (there’s a dropdown, and in 80% cases the correct one is on the list, and sometimes you may need to search right in the dropdown). You do it only once - Capitally will remember the mapping for all future imports and will only show that screen if something is new.

You can of course batch edit the already imported transactions and set a correct asset, but I’d recommend to undo the import (from the top-right menu → Undo or History) and do it again - this time making sure the picked assets are correct - you can check this video for reference.
