Hello, super new here.

On 28.11.24 I Sold 140,000 EUR to Buy Japanese Yen. Is screenshot 1 correct?
On 09.09.25 I Sold Japanese Yen to Buy 97,000 EUR. Is screenshot 2 correct?

Hello @fabrice , currently both transactions are buying/selling Yens and paying in Yens for them. If you do a Buy/Sell on Yen, then the quantity should be Yens and Price currency should be Euro:

  • On 28.11 A BUY transaction on JPY, Quantity - amount of JPY bought, Currency (within Price field) set to EUR, you can click the edit icon next to Transaction Value and enter 140000 to calculate the price.

You can also make transaction on Euro, which makes sense if you sold euro, and you know the amount of euro, but not necessarily amount of yen:

  • On 28.11 A SELL transaction on EUR, Quantity - amount of EUR sold, Price is price of 1 EUR in JPY, Currency (within Price field) set to JPY.

If you search for "Gold" or "XAU" you will find 1 ounce. We can't add more commodities, but you can use Price Formulas (https://www.mycapitally.com/help/price-formulas) to create a 1/5 ounce asset (with the price formula of x/5)
