I actually invest in Physical Gold and Silver, buying coins, bars, combibars… I would like to know if there’s any way to track purchases, history of purchase and sales, FIFO, updated value of assets or value by total GOLD, total SILVER, or total SILVER COINS, total GOLD COINS, total SILVER BARS, total GOLD BARS, etc… I suppose there should be a field called weight, and if for example you buy 1 Oz Coins, put 31,10 grams in that field, so it will always calculate the price in grams. But also we need to know the number of items we have of COINS, BARS, COMBIBARS… Is all this possible with CAPITALLY?. I was actually working on a excel file and discovered CAPITALLY.
Yes, you can track transactions on physical gold, silver and other precious metals. They are priced per troy ounce. If you prefer grams, you can always add a Price Formula to the asset to multiply the price and convert the unit.
Just search for XAU (gold) or XAG (silver) when adding an asset.
