Positions with quantity 0

I have quite a large number of transactions. Positions are also closed quickly in my case. Now I have a lot of positions with a quantity of zero… you can filter them, but then the performance changes… if you want to know the true performance, you have to leave them all showing… am I doing something wrong, or is there a way to archive or hide the closed trades without changing the performance?

The difference lies between the “Show Active Only” toggle and the filters (e.g., the “Opened” filter):

  • The “Show Active Only” toggle hides positions with a quantity of zero from the list, but it does not affect performance: the returns of closed positions remain included in the overall performance as long as the selected period covers the time when the position was open.
  • The “Opened” filter (or a filter with “Position closed: Is empty”) also hides closed positions, but it also completely excludes their returns and fees from the performance calculation. This is why the numbers change for you as soon as you apply the filter.

For your case, using the “Show Active Only” toggle instead of a filter would be the right choice. One thing to note: if your period is set to “Max”, closed positions will still be displayed even with the toggle enabled, because they were active at some point within that entire timeframe. This is intentional, as their returns contributed to the overall performance during that period. There is no separate archiving function, but the toggle essentially serves the same purpose without distorting the performance.
