The dividend forecast from the JEPQ ETF shows a double payout starting next month.
The history is always fine, but the forecast adds a second payout on the 19th of the given month, which significantly distorts looking into the future.
Estimation is entirely based on previous dividends. It tries to detect repeatable patterns in distributions. Monthly distributions are especially tricky, as there may be inconsistencies in payout dates. It looks like the system detected two series - one monthly paid on 1st (as the last one was paid on 1st December), and probably another serie last paid on 19th - eg. annual.
Btw, to form a serie, there has to be at least 3 consecutive payments.
In some cases it’s what you want - as some stocks pay out quarterly and annually two different types of dividends.
You can always delete such wrongly estimated dividend.
Sometimes it may also be caused by not confirming dividends with the broker (eg. by importing them). Especially if some are confirmed and some not. As brokers record them at often different dates than those that we have in the records. This may create two separate series - one from the broker, and one from the market data.
I tried several times to delete these future forecasts but without success.
There is a message saying that they have been deleted, but they do not disappear from the list.
The Reset data and prices cache (Resetuj cache danych i cen) option does not help either.
